Ozmo Devices, the leading provider of low-power Wi-Fi Personal Area Network (Wi-Fi PAN) solutions, announced that the company has teamed up with Wolfson Microelectronics, the leading provider of high performance audio and ultra low power consumption products. Together, they have decided to develop an audio reference design for leveraging Ozmo’s Wi-Fi PAN technology. This development will be targeted towards audio peripherals and portable digital audio devices manufacturers, who now will have an access to the lowest power, smallest form factor Wireless design. The developed Ozmo Devices’ Wi-Fi PAN solution will enable connectivity between computer peripherals such as mice and headsets and other Wi-Fi-enabled platforms. The new OZMO1000 Audio Reference Design makes use of the Ozmo Devices’ OZMO1000 IC and Wolfson Microelectronics’ WM8987L low-power CODEC.
